Ford Bronco Buying Guide

Find the Power to Propel You Forward

If you’re interested in jetting over hills and rocks or through mud, then you’re looking for an SUV with rugged features and a commanding powertrain to take you around from destination to destination. With an available 4-wheel drive system crafted to provide stability at all four wheels when encountering tricky terrain, the 2021 Ford Bronco and Jeep Wrangler are desirable options.

When it comes to a supreme blend of power under the hood, the Bronco has two options for you to choose from:

  • 2.3-liter EcoBoost® I-4 engine: 270 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque
  • 2.7-liter EcoBoost® V6 engine: 310 horsepower and 400 lb-ft of torque

The Wrangler also has three motor selections available to you, however it maxes out at 285 horsepower, so you may notice a difference in performance.

Leave Nothing Behind

When the engine of your choice in the 2021 Ford Bronco and Jeep Wrangler is properly equipped, you’ll easily be able to haul 3,500 pounds. This type of muscle enables you to haul the following:

  • A couple jet skis for a high-powered afternoon on the water
  • A lightweight travel trailer for weekend camping trips
  • A utility trailer with a few snowmobiles for an unforgettable mountain escape
  • A pop-up camper for a solo venture in the woods
  • A small fishing boat for a relaxing morning with your fishing buddy

As you can see, there’s unlimited potential for your next adventure with the Bronco and Wrangler. However, if you’re looking to tow with the 2-door options of these SUVs, the Wrangler can only handle a maximum of 2,000 pounds. On the other hand, the Bronco can still be equipped to haul 3,500 pounds with the 2-door model.

Ample Space for All Your Essentials

In addition to bringing your camper or jet ski along for the ride, you’ll need a spacious cargo area for camping supplies and weekend bags. Since both the Bronco and the Wrangler offer 2-door and 4-door models, the cargo capabilities vary.

In the 2021 Bronco, the 2-door model has a maximum of 52.3 cubic feet of cargo space when you fold the rear seat down flat. It’s going to be a tight fit in the Wrangler, though, since it only offers 31.7 cubic feet of cargo space.

The cargo area in the 4-door Jeep Wrangler takes a big jump to provide a maximum of 72.4 cubic feet for you to fit extra off-road adventure gear, like a bike or a tent. But, once again, it still doesn’t measure up to the 4-door Ford Bronco with a maximum of 77.6 cubic feet of cargo room.
