Ford Bronco Towing Capacity
The Ford Bronco has a towing capacity of up to 3,500 pounds when properly equipped. It’s able to tow so much weight because of its capable powertrains. You’ll get to choose between two different engines:
- 2.3L EcoBoost® I-4 engine: 270 horsepower, 310 lb-ft of torque
- 2.7L EcoBoost® V6 engine: 310 horsepower, 400 lb-ft of torque
Both engines include an EcoBoost® turbocharger that delivers an exciting kick of adrenaline while you drive. The 2.3L engine comes standard with the 7-speed manual transmission and makes a 10-speed automatic transmission available. The 2.7L engine comes standard with the 10-speed automatic transmission.
Ford Bronco Configurations
You’ll have a variety of ways to configure your Ford Bronco to your liking. One of the most obvious ones is in the body style. The 2021 Bronco comes in either a 2-door or 4-door option, which will have an impact on your interior dimensions:

You can also configure your roof if you go with the 4-door body style. You’ll have your choice between a hardtop or a soft top roof. Both are removable to give you that open-air freedom. Speaking of which, the doors are removable too!
Ford Bronco Dimensions
The exterior dimensions of the Ford Bronco are built for the great outdoors. With a wheelbase of just 100.4 inches (2-door) or 116.1 inches (4-door), you’ll be able to adeptly navigate tough trailways, while the hefty ground clearance keeps you rolling over obstacles. Look at some of the exterior dimensions for the 2-door model below:
- Approach angle: 35.5 to 43.2 degrees
- Breakover angle: 21.1 to 29 degrees
- Departure angle: 29.8 to 37.2 degrees
- Ground Clearance: 8.4 to 11.6 inches
The Bronco has a standard ground clearance of 8.4 inches with the 2-door model. However, with the available Sasquatch Package, you’ll get 35-inch tires and 17-inch beadlock-capable wheels that extend your ground clearance to an impressive 11.6 inches. You’ll also be able to water ford in up to 33.5 inches of water if absolutely necessary.
