2019 Transit Trim Levels 

The Ford Transit comes in three different trims, allowing you to pick the one that best meets your needs. The first is the Ford Transit Commercial Cargo Van. This model comes with seating for two and plenty of space in the back for hauling goods. The cargo area height reaches between 56.9 inches to 81.5 inches along with a length of 126 inches to 172.2 inches, depending on which size you opt for.

Next is the XL Passenger Van, ideal for transporting people safely and effectively. This van can seat up to 15 people and is equipped with Safety Canopy® Side Curtain Airbags as well a review camera with a display right in your rearview mirror.

Finally, you have the Transit XLT Passenger Van, which includes all the features and seating in the XL trim but with more additions. This van comes with autolamps with rain-sensing wipers, which will automatically turn on when it’s raining and even adjust speed depending on how wet the windshield gets.

Ford Transit Engine Lineup

The Transit commercial vehicle gives you the option of three engines, all engineered for high performance and efficiency. The standard engine is the 3.7L V6, which generates 275 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque to ensure you can take on the road ahead with strength and reliability.

Also available in the 3.5L EcoBoost® V6, which delivers 310 horsepower and a best-in-class torque rating of 400 lb-ft. This V6 engine combines direct injection with turbocharging, allowing you to get the most power out of every drop of fuel in the tank. 

The 3.2L Power Stroke® Turbo Diesel is the final option, which proves to be perfect for both carrier and transit applications. With 185 horsepower and 350 lb-ft of torque on tap, this engine can run for many hours continually with ease.
