Ford Super Duty Trim Levels

Ford Super Duty XL

The base trim of the Ford Super Duty line is the Ford Super Duty XL. This sets the standard for every model in the Super Duty series. There’s a choice between two great engines. The standard is a 6.2L 2-Valve Gas V8 engine that gets 385 horsepower and 430 lb-ft of torque.

The second option is larger and more powerful. It’s a 6.7L Power Stroke® V8 Turbo Diesel engine that gets 450 horsepower and 935 lb-ft of torque. The transmission for both of these engines is a TorqShift® 6-speed SelectShift® automatic with tow/haul mode.

On the exterior, the tow hooks, door handles, bumpers grille, and tailgate handles all have a stylish black finish.

Inside there’s heavy duty vinyl seats with 40/20/40 split folding front seat complete with a folding armrest with cupholders and a storage compartment. In the back there’s a 60/40 split-flip rear seat.

There’s some technology at your disposal in this base trim. A 2.3-inch screen shows you information on your drive on information cluster, while an auto-dimming rearview mirror helps prevent glare at night.

Ford Super Duty XLT

The next trim is the Ford Super Duty XLT. This trim adds an infotainment system with Ford SYNC®. This offers voice recognition, 911 Assist®, and AppLink® through a 4.2-inch dashboard mounted color LCD screen.

To continue with adding technology to the interior, the instrument cluster screen gets bumped up to 4.2 inches and there’s standard Sirius XM® Satellite Radio.

The rest of the interior will look a little different too with cloth seats. Under the front seat there’s a lockable storage unit plus two 12-volt power outlets.

Outside, a BoxLink™ with 4 premium locking cleats is added to the truck bed, while the overall appearance gets a sleek upgrade with a chrome grille and bumpers.

Ford Super Duty Lariat

A lot of features are added to the Ford Super Duty Lariat for both style and functionality. There’s easier access with a standard 6-inch cab step. The exterior blends in a little more with body color door handles and a chrome tailgate handle.

Getting in can be more high tech too. This trim has a standard SecuriCode™ keyless entry keypad.

Once inside, you’ll notice some differences. There’s sandalwood trim accents throughout the interior, plus leather-trimmed heated and cooled front seats with 10-way power-adjustable settings.

After you find your setting in the driver’s seat you can set a good environment for the rest of the cab with climate control equipped with dual-zone electronic automatic temperature control

Both the infotainment system and your instrument cluster get an upgrade in the Ford Super Duty Lariat. The latest system, Ford SYNC® 3, gives you an 8-inch LCD touchscreen in your dashboard with Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™. The instrument cluster also gets bumped up to an 8-inch screen.

Ford Super Duty King Ranch

The Ford Super Duty King Ranch makes it easier to get going. It has a remote start system plus a universal garage door opener and a remote release tailgate with power remote lock.

Once you’re on the road you’ll get better visibility with rain-sensing windshield wipers and automatic high-beam headlamps. There’s also ambient lighting in the interior.

In the Ford Super Duty King Ranch trim, you’ll always be on the right path with the standard voice-activated Navigation System with integrated SiriusXM Traffic and Travel Link®.

Ford Super Duty Platinum

A couple of diver assistance technologies get added to our next trim. The Ford Super Duty Platinum has standard Adaptive Steering and a Blind Spot Information System (BLIS®).

On the outside, power deployable running boards are added for more convenience, while a chrome finish is brought back to the door handles, side mirrors, and exhaust for style.

Ford Super Duty Limited

In the previous trims there’s been a choice between a 4x2 and 4x4 drivetrain. With the Ford Super Duty Limited, 4x4 is standard. 

To continue adding features to improve capability, the Ultimate Trailer Tow Camera System comes standard to help you with everything from lining up with your payload to making sure it’s under control. 

Driver assistance technology like Lane Keeping Alert and Adaptive Cruise Control and Collision Warning with Brake Support are also standard for more awareness and control throughout the drive.
