This group conducts several different performance tests that are important to consider when looking for your next vehicle. They rank vehicles by placing them in four separate categories: Poor, Marginal, Acceptable, and Good. IIHS tests are designed to review two major aspects of safety: crashworthiness and crash avoidance.
