What is the Ford F-150 Lightning Capable of?

The first question most folks ask our staff when discussing the Ford F-150 Lightning usually revolves around capability and performance. How much can the truck tow? How much range does the battery allow for and how fast can it be recharged?

If we start with the available range, there are two options you can pick from: the standard range of 230 miles and the extended range version of 300 miles. These mileages are EPA estimates and will vary depending on driving habits and weather conditions.

The  maximum towing capacity is expected to come in around 10,000 pounds when properly equipped, while the maximum payload capacity is expected to reach 2,000 pounds.
