Ford Crew Cab vs SuperCab: Availability
Both the Ford Crew Cab and SuperCab are available with multiple pickups in the 2021 Ford Super Duty line. For starters, the Super Duty has three different configurations for you to choose from: F-250, F-350, and F-450. The Crew Cab and SuperCab are available on the F-250 and F-350, but only the Crew Cab is found on the F-450.
Engine Options
In addition to three configurations, there are three engine options to choose from in the Super Duty:
- 6.2-liter V8—385 horsepower and 430 lb-ft of torque
- 7.3-liter PFI V8—430 horsepower and 475 lb-ft of torque
- 6.7-liter Power Stroke® V8 turbo diesel—475 horsepower and 1,050 lb-ft of torque
All three engines are available on the F-250 and F-350, along with both cabin options. On the F-450, though, your only engine offering is the diesel motor, which is then paired to the Crew Cab.
Trim Levels
The trim level you select also has a large bearing on the type of cabin available to you. There are six trims to choose on the Ford Super Duty, all of which can be found on the configuration of your choice.
Take a look at the different cabins found on each trim option:

As you can see, each of these trim levels has something fun and unique to offer you. If you’re interested in the added safety technology found in the XLT, you’ll be able to choose between the Crew Cab and SuperCab. However, if you select the King Ranch® trim or higher, the Crew Cab will be your only option.
Ford Crew Cab vs SuperCab: Truck Bed
The Ford Crew Cab and SuperCab are both available with either a 6.75- or 8-foot truck bed. With either option, you’ll have a durable bed that’s made out of high-strength military-grade aluminum alloy. An available Tough Bed® spray-in bedliner helps them remain durable and prevents dents and scrapes.
Each cab is capable of carrying a heavy payload. The Crew Cab can carry a payload of up to 6,960 pounds when it’s attached to the F-350. The SuperCab also reaches its maximum payload with the F-350. It can manage a payload of up to 7,190 pounds.
On top of being durable and strong, you can add some great truck-bed features to either cab, such as stowable loading ramps, LED box lighting, a Tailgate step, and a set of extended-length step bars to each side.
Ford Crew Cab vs SuperCab: Interior
The Ford Crew Cab and SuperCab each have two rows of seats and four full size doors for easy access. The front seats offer you a choice in both cabs with either 40/20/40 split front seats, or two bucket seats and a center console. While both cabs come with the same truck-bed sizes, the interiors have slightly different dimensions:

While there are some similarities when it comes to the measurements of the two cabins, the Crew Cab expands upon legroom significantly, making it a great option if you want a roomier ride for taller rear passengers.
Both cabs deliver a comfortable ride with cloth or leather seats and available features, like heated and ventilated front seats. The Crew Cab adds a few more features though, such as heated rear seats and multi-contour front bucket seats with Action Motion®--which offers massage settings.
Interior Cargo Space
Another interior measurement that will differ depending on which cabin option you select is cargo space. From tools to weekend bags and camping equipment, the SuperCab makes space for it all with 31.6 cubic feet of cargo space.
If you typically carry around larger tools to your construction sites or want more space for your weekend explorations, you’ll want to consider the Crew Cab. Its larger back row not only provides more space to your passengers, but expands maximum cargo space to 52.1 cubic feet as well, so you can pack more in.
