2018 Escape Power & Performance

2018 Ford Escape PerformanceUnder the hood of the Escape, you’ll have the option of three different engines, so you can choose the one with the power you need. The standard engine is a 2.5L 4-cylinder that makes 168 horsepower and reaches an EPA-estimated fuel efficiency rating of 21 city/29 highway MPG.

For more power, opt for the 1.5L turbocharged 4-cylinder that makes 179 horsepower. The most powerful option is a 2.0L turbocharged 4-cylinder that generates an impressive 245 horsepower. These two options come standard with start/stop technology that allows the engine to turn itself off as you idle, and then automatically restart when you return your foot to the accelerator. This innovative feature allows you to conserve fuel and save at the gas station.

Front-wheel drive comes standard, or you can upgrade to all-wheel drive for better road grip and control. The vehicle offers fun and athletic handling, so you can zoom around turns and speed along highways with ease.

Modern Technology Features

Inside the cabin of the 2018 Ford Escape, you’ll discover the Ford SYNC® infotainment system. Bluetooth® connectivity comes standard, so you can access music and contacts from your smartphone, and make hands-free phone calls. Keep your devices charged up with a USB port. Ford’s MyKey system allows you to set speed and volume limits, so you can enforce some rules on your teen driver even when you’re not in the car. A standard rearview camera makes parking and reversing the vehicle simple and safe.
