Ford F-150: Six Available Engines
The Ford F-150 is all about options, and that’s why it offers six available engines to choose from so that you can get the performance you need for the specific job you’re up against. Standard with this truck is the 3.3L V6 engine with 290 horsepower, 265 lb-ft of torque, and a max towing capacity of 7,700 pounds.
For some extra towing power, drivers can upgrade to the available 3.5L EcoBoost® V6 engine. Boasting up to 375 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque, this engine gives us an impressive 13,200 pounds of max towing power that you can really rely on for towing the heaviest cargo.
Available Drive Modes
In order to make the most out of those impressive engines, this truck is designed with an available Electronic 10-Speed Transmission. This system offers plenty of gears to work with so you can get a nice even power distribution across your engine’s power band. This allows you to easily get the power you need to tow even when moving on the highway.
To provide you with more control when performing more specialized drives, you have a selection of drive modes. This transmission offers modes for Tow/Haul, Snow/Wet, EcoSelect, and Sport, so you can easily get through any obstacle put in front of you.
How Safe is the 2020 Ford F-150?
Power isn’t the only thing the Ford F-150 has to offer. This vehicle is also equipped with some impressive safety features. Drivers will have access to a standard Rear View Camera with Dynamic Hitch Assist. This feature provides a sight line in the instrument panel display when your truck is in reverse to help you connect the hitch ball to the trailer receiver.
Drivers who choose to upgrade to the higher trims of this vehicle will be given an available BLIS® (Blind Spot Information System) with Trailer Coverage. This feature alerts you to vehicles riding in your blind spot so you’re able to change lanes when it’s safe. Best of all, this feature even covers the blind spots of your trailer so you can change lanes safely even while towing.
