Tough, rugged, and adventurous—the 2019 Ford Super Duty is quite the formidable truck to have as your automotive companion. With its energetic engines, high towing capacity, and advanced technology, this hardcore pickup truck can certainly handle whatever crosses its path, from rain-slick streets to bump trails.
At Andy Mohr Ford, we’re here to serve all of our customers around Plainfield, Indianapolis, Avon, and the surrounding Indiana communities. Simply call us, chat with us online, or stop by our showroom to get started today!
Aside from the specs above, the first thing that you need to know about the Ford Super Duty is that it was designed and built with the long haul in mind. From its high-strength, military-grade, aluminum-alloy body to its frame that’s almost entirely made from high-strength steel, this truck is certainly meant to last.
The F-450 model also comes with the largest four-wheel anti-lock brakes in its class, while 4X4 models come with class-exclusive solid front axles.1 Both are key if you plan on front-end weight-bearing activities.
2019 Ford F-Series Towing Capacity
When it’s time to tow, all three of the Ford Super Duty trucks step up to the plate. While 5th-wheel/gooseneck towing is available for every truck in this series, they also offer impressive conventional towing capacities:
- Ford F-250 Max Conventional Towing: 18,000 pounds
- Ford F-350 Max Conventional Towing: 21,000 pounds
- Ford F-450 Max Conventional Towing: 21,000 pounds
When you engage that 5th-wheel/gooseneck towing option, you’ll have the following maximum capacities:
- Ford F-250 Max Towing: 18,500 pounds
- Ford F-350 Max Towing: 32,000 pounds
- Ford F-450 Max Towing: 35,000 pounds
For additional confidence, all three trucks make BLIS® (Blind Spot Information System) with trailer coverage available. This system issues an alert when other cars enter your side blind spots and extends that coverage along the length of the trailer. With this system, you may find that merging on the highway is much safer.
Performance and Towing Systems: Ford Super Duty
We already mentioned some of the engine specs and towing capacities that you could have at your fingertips. However, did you know that the 2019 Ford Super Duty features plenty of high-tech hauling systems?
- Class-Exclusive Trailer Tire Pressure Monitoring1
- Class-Exclusive Adaptive Steering1
- Trailer Reverse Guidance
And that’s not even counting Diesel Engine-Exhaust Braking (which comes standard with the 6.7L Power Stroke® Turbo Diesel engine), nor the optional Adaptive Cruise Control with Collision Warning function.
