Mustang Performance and Power

The Mustang’s base engine is a 2.3-liter turbocharged four-cylinder that boasts 310 horsepower and 350 lb-ft of torque. The optional engines range from a 2.3-liter turbo-four that produces 330 horsepower and 350 lb-ft of torque to a pair of V8 engines that generate 460 to 480 horsepower and 420 lb-ft of torque. The high-performance option is an available 5.2-liter supercharged V8 engine that delivers 760 horsepower and 625 lb-ft of torque.

The transmission options include a six-speed manual, a seven-speed dual-clutch, and a 10-speed automatic, depending on the engine you choose. Rear-wheel drive comes standard. Numerous performance features are available for the Mustang, such as a limited-slip rear differential, MagneRide adaptive suspension, beefier Brembo brakes, and a large radiator.

Mustang Cabin Space and Comfort

The Mustang has a well-designed cabin that boasts modern styling and some retro flair. The cabin seats four people comfortably, and passengers have plenty of support in the bucket seats. The available SYNC® 3 infotainment system uses a responsive 8-inch touchscreen and Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto® smartphone compatibility, which gives you virtually limitless options for entertainment during your ride. A built-in Wi-Fi hotspot is included, so you’ll always be connected. Optional features include a 12-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system, HD radio, satellite radio, and two USB ports.

As for safety, the Mustang includes a range of standard advanced driver-assistance features. A lane departure warning is included, which cautions you if you veer out of your lane, as well as pedestrian detection. Blind-spot monitoring is standard, which locates vehicles in your blind spot when you change lanes or reverse. A rearview camera, automatic high-beam headlights, and MyKey, a system that lets you set audio and speed limits to minimize distraction in young drivers, are also standard.
